Broussard Farms in Newbern, AL was established in 1960 and is currently run by the 4th generation, The Broussard's great-grandfather came to Newbern from Geismet, LA and ran a dairy and row crop operation. Over the years, the farm transitioned to a row crop and beef cattle operation and now raises beef cattle and catfish.
Broussard Farms is offering 25 of their home raised replacement heifers and pairs. There will be a selection of three-quarter, half and quarter blood heifers and pairs. There will also be four (4) three-quarter Angus, one-quarter Hereford heifers. All of these heifers have plenty of volume and capacity with good substance of bone. Heifers were bred to low birth weight CK Angus bulls. Later in the breeding season, a Hereford bull was added. At sale time there will be 5 to 8 pairs. The remaining heifers will calve from the end of November through early February. |
