Clay Kennamer Livestock is bringing a set of commercial heifers that are genetic powerhouses in moderate packages.
This offering will consist of 16 red heifers that are AI sired by the purebred Simmental bull CDI Hometown 246A out of commercial Red Angus females. Hometown is in the top 1% of the Simmental breed for weaning weight yearling weight and ribeye area. He also is in the top 25% for milk and 10% for marbling. There will also be 6 black and black white face Brangus sired females out of Red Angus dams. Their sire is a Lake Majestic Farm Stonewall son that ranks in the top 30% of the Brangus breed for weaning and yearling weight, ribeye area and marbling. All heifers were bred AI on April 20, 2022 (projected calving date of January 29, 2023) to Wedel Ranchmaster 9052G. Ranchmaster is a true curvebender in the Red Angus breed that combines amazing levels of calving ease, light birth weight, explosive growth and highly efficient feed conversion. The cleanup bull, 0609H, closely follows the calving ease and growth genetics of Ranchmaster. Per pregnancy check, all heifers should be bred to the AI bull, Ranchmaster. Projected Calving Dates of January 15 to February 5, 2023. |
