Bell Farm and Cattle Company are offering both pairs and bred heifers.
Pairs are a solid set of 1st calf heifers that are predominately SimAngus females. Calves from the 6 Spring pairs were sired by either a Hereford, Brangus or Angus sire. Each of these sires are high growth with good maternal and carcass characteristics which are clearly showing in the size and quality of the calves. There are 4 heifer calves and 2 bull (now steer) calves at side that have received their first round of vaccinations (Blackleg and respiratory). Bull calves were knife cut. The 10 bred heifers will calve as 2.5+ year olds. They are also predominately SimAngus that as of May 15th are 6 to 8 months bred. Their calves will be sired by either an Angus or Red Angus bull. Again, these bulls are high growth, maternal with good carcass characteristics. These same bulls are siring the calves in the freezer beef program at Bell Farm and Cattle Company. All these females have been developed on pasture with limited supplementation and never babied. However, they are gentle and easy to handle. |
