Blackbelt Cattle Marketing is actively seeking nominations for the 5th Annual Fall Ball Sale. Priority will be given to: 
  • Home grown quality replacement heifers from a designed breeding program
  • Single sourced quality replacement heifers
  • Heifers due to calve between late November 2025 and end of March 2026

Important Dates:
  • Initial Nomination Deadline:                                  September 1, 2025
  • Final Information and Photo Deadline:                October 1, 2025
  • Preliminary Catalog to Press:                                  October 17, 2025
  • Sale Videos Completed:                                            November 3, 2025
  • Cattle arrive in Uniontown:                                     November 20, 2025 between 10 am – 2 pm
  • Sale:                                                                                November 21, 2025 at 11:00 am

           Friday, November 21, 2025 
Sale Time:           11:00 a.m. 
Place:                   Alabama Livestock Auction in Uniontown, AL 
Delivery Date:   Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Rules for Bred Heifers:​
  1. Heifer birthdates: September 1, 2023 and April 30, 2024
  2. Heifers should calve between December 1, 2025 and May 1, 2026
  3. All heifers must be bred to a registered bull, preferably with EPD (Expected Progeny Difference) values. Heifers can be bred AI or pasture bred.
  4. The registration number of the service sire(s) of the bred heifer must be provided at consignment to the sale. Low birth weight, calving ease service sires are recommended.
  5. A breeding date or date range and the resulting projected calving date range will be required for each bred heifer.
  6. Heifers must be determined pregnant by a licensed veterinarian by rectal palpation or ultrasound by October 1, 2025
  7. Recommended Vaccinations and best management practices are listed below. Vaccines should be given twice (a primary and booster) in accordance with the specific vaccine label directions or within a veterinarian-client relationship in accordance with Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) guidelines. 

    1. 7-way Blackleg (Clostridial diseases)
    2. 5-way Leptospirosis - Vibriosis
    3. IBR-PI3-BVD-BRSV
    4. Heifers should be treated for internal and external parasites within 30 days prior to the sale using a quality product as a best management practice.
Heifers need to be consigned in groups of 3 to 5 heifers. Each consignor must consign a minimum of three (3) heifers. Heifers must not have been implanted with a growth implant at any time during their life.
​Rules for Select Fall Pairs:
The definition of Select Pairs for the Blackbelt Fall Ball Replacement Female Sale are as follows:
  1. Cow should have a birthdate between August 1 and December 31, 2023.
  2. Current calf at side should be born between August 1 and October 31, 2025.
    1. Calf must be sired by a registered bull. Calves can be sired by AI bulls or natural service sires.
Additional Select Fall Pair Rules
  1. Select Pairs will be sold as pairs. Two pairs will be sold at a time through the sale ring.
    1. A consignor must consign at least 2 pairs
  2. The registration number of the sire(s) calf must be provided at consignment to the sale. If known, also provide the registration number of the dam’s sire.
  3. Recommended Vaccinations and best management practices are below. Vaccines should be given twice (a primary and booster) in accordance with the specific vaccine label directions or within a veterinarian-client relationship in accordance with Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) guidelines. 
    1. 7-way Blackleg (Clostridial diseases)
    2. 5-way Leptospirosis - Vibriosis
    3. IBR-PI3-BVD-BRSV
    4. Females and calves at side should be treated for internal and external parasites within 30 days prior to the sale using a quality product as a best management practice.
No use of growth implants in the cow or heifer calves.
2025 Fall Ball Female Rules
2025 Fall Ball Nomination Forms
Blackbelt Cattle Marketing is also seeking nominations for quality, age-advantaged, virgin bulls.
Rules for Age-Advantaged, Virgin Bulls:​
  1. Bulls must be virgins.
  2. Bull birthdates: August 1, 2023 through November 30, 2025
  3. Bulls must be registered with their respective breed association and have EPD values for at least birth weight, weaning weight, milk and yearling weight.
  4. Bulls must be eligible for transfer of ownership to the buyer.
  5. Bulls must pass and have documentation of passing a breeding soundness exam from a qualified veterinarian no more than 30 days prior to sale date. Documentation must be turned into the sales management when bulls are delivered on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
  6. NEW IN 2025: Any bull older than 18 months of age, must have a negative TRICH test no more than 30 days prior to sale date. Documentation must be turned into the sales management when bulls are delivered on Thursday, November 20, 2025.
7.  Recommended Vaccinations and best management practices are the following:
  1. 7-way Blackleg (Clostridial diseases)

  3. IBR-PI3-BVD-BRSV

Blackbelt Cattle Marketing will also offer elite, open replacement heifers from the 2024 Fall calf crop and early 2025 calf crop. Heifers should be ready to breed in late Fall to early Winter 2026.

Sale Order and Sale Commission:
 Sale order will be determined by a committee once all consignment females and bulls are received at the sale barn on Thursday, November 20, 2025.  Sale order will rotate among consignors and will take into consideration quality and overall number of females consigned.
 
Sales commission will be 8.5%.
