J-H Farms has developed another set of solid and functional Red Angus bulls from two (2) of the most popular bulls in the breed.
Lots 194, 195 and 196 are sons of Bieber CL Stockmarket E119. He was ranked number 2 in the Red Angus breed for registrations in 2023. It is fairly easy to identify Stockmarket calves with their length of body, good feet, shape of rib and overall volume. Lot 194 is in the top 15% of the Red Angus breed for calving ease and the top 25% of the breed for weaning and yearling weight EPDs. This January 2023 Stockmarket son is in the top 33% of the Red Angus breed for profitability and sustainability (ProS) and is an excellent prospect to produce feeder calves for the grid market. Phenotypic data: BW: 52 lbs. Adj. WW: 583 lbs. with a WW Ratio of 108. His dam has produced 5 calves with an MPPA of 104. Lot 195 is definitely an all purpose bull with incredible volume and muscle. He is in the top 30% of the Red Angus breed for ProS and Herbuilder indexes, indicating his daughters will be good additions to the herd. He is also in the top 40% of the breed for Gridmaster anchored by his excellent marbling EPD, while still being in the top 40% of the breed for calving ease. Phenotypic data: BW: 65 lbs. Adj. WW: 539 lbs. with a WW Ratio of 100. His dam has produced 3 calves with an MPPA of 101 and a calving interval of 375 days. Lot 196 is a February 2023 Stockmarket son. He has length of body with excellent volume and shape of rib. He is in the top 45% of the breed for ProS and top 25% of the breed for GM. Again, he has excellent marbling and will do well producing feeder calves for the grid market. He is also in the top 40% of the Red Angus breed for calving ease and birth weight. Phenotypic data: BW: 72 lbs. Adj. WW: 463 lbs. with a WW Ratio of 85. His dam has produced 6 calves with an MPPA of 100. Lot 197 is sired by HXC Grindstone 9908G. Lot 185 is above average for weaning and yearling weight that is a great candidate to produce replacement heifers. His females will be fertile and stay in the herd. He is in the top 40% of the Red Angus breed for marbling and top 18% for REA. Lot 197 is in the top 25% for all breed indexes: ProS, HB and GM. Phenotypic data: BW: 70 lbs. Adj. WW: 487 lbs. with a WW Ratio of 90. All of these J-H Farms bulls are out of CALVO Red Angus females.
